Anonymous asked you:

do you have any references for creating a supernatural-theme story? one with mythical creatures such as vampires and werewolves?

The Basics:

  • Establish creatures that exist in your universe. Do ghosts exist, but not vampires? Are mermaids spoken of seriously, but the idea of werewolves laughed at? Or are there no limits to what can exist?
  • Establish characteristics for these creatures. Vampires don’t have to die from a punctured heart. Werewolves don’t have to die from a silver bullet. A leprechaun doesn’t have to owe you a wish if you save his life. You can make up the rules, just keep them consistent.

Cliches: People are sick to death of cliches. Especially ones for vampires and werewolves with their popularity in recent years.
